NASA to test astronaut escape system

WALLOPS ISLAND, Va., June 4 (UPI) -- The U.S. space agency is planning to test its Max Launch Abort System that is designed to separate spacecraft and crews from various hazards. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration said the MLAS test is scheduled June 15 at the Wallops Flight Facility on Wallops Island, Va. The launch window extends from approximately 5:45 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. EDT. "
